Snoopy's Page
![]() |
While I was on the compound,
one of the Korean Soldiers adopted this
dog (about 10 weeks old) from the streets in the near by town
and
named
him Snoopy. This puppy
replaced Leo the monkey,
who electrocuted
himself across the power
wires strung around the camp.
From what I
understand, Snoopy lived
with the guys at Camp Thunderbolt, till the
war ended and the Korean
soldiers returned home.
He went with one of the guys to Korea as a stowaway!
This picture was taken outside
my hooch just after Christmas and the collar
is way to large. It had to be hand made by one of the Korean Soldiers from a
piece of his own belt. He cut it down to fit but left it large enough for snoopy
to grow into since materials were scarce. He is tan and black and just a mutt
but boy did Snoopy grow up to be a great alarm dog. He saved the guys
from many times from
a surprise attack on the compound.
