to serve with the Korean Tiger Division

Capt. Nicholson and I were paired as a ROMAD or FAC team also known as a Combat Forward Air Controller, Close Air Support. Most of the time Capt Nicholson was not with me but else where - like flying somewhere and I had to do it all while in Vietnam. In Korea he was always there in the thick of things.
Above - left side two prints are of Capt. Nicholson. Top is in Korea and the bottom is in Vietnam with the Korean FAC Officer counterpart that I worked with as well. Right top is our unit as formed up in Korea in 1965 and bottom right is A2c Maleny of the other ROMAD team that went to Vietnam with me. I do not have a picture of the officer that was with him.
Below on the top shelf are pictures of Capt Nicholson's wife and 2 children. The flags were given to me by some of the Korean enlisted men I worked with on patrols. I still have the flags today but they are in bad shape. The lighting was provided by the oil lamp at the left end of the picture. Later on we finally got some electricity for a single light bulb!
Below is one of the planes that
Capt Nicholson flew a number of times
when acting as an airborne FAC spotter in conjunction with the ROMAD
team on the ground.
This one was taking off and landing at RoK HQ in Vietnam flown by both Korean and US Pilots.
