In this page we have a number of  pictures that I took all over the place.  The pictures are dated around  October / November when I was transferred from ROK HQ to my "outpost" units compound.  In one frame you will notice that my USAF Jeep with the numbers of 64K65 USAF on the hood.  At this moment I was not driving but a Korean driver was.  I also had an escort behind me consisting of a Jeep with 50 Cal machine gun mounted and 3 Korean soldiers in it.

Below is the Main Gate to the ROK Headquarters just before Christmas 1965. Below this QL19 near the famous hairpin. Note that it is not really paved at this time!!  Below this you will find an assortment of pictures taken in and around Qui Nhon in 1965 and 1966.  At the bottom of the page is the Shrine with the Buda that was taken very near our compound.

All pictures are clickable.

General snaps taken in and around the northern end of Qui Nhon as I was leaving the city.  Note that the 3 wheel scooters were the intercity buses and that the 3 wheel bicycles are the taxies of the day.  Sometimes we did see a real live bus but that was rare.

The Buda Shrine near the Korean Compound.
I almost got the young boy in brown located in the left
side of the picture in trouble because I took a the lower
picture inside the shrine of the Buda.  The other boy in the
center of the gate is from a well to do family whom had
just made some offerings to the Buda.
